'Some Like it Hoth' Summary

We start out with a young miles with his mother at an apartment complex. Miles has his first ghost-sensing experience and discovers a dead body in one of the apartments (which he unlocked with a key under a stone rabbit - possible reference to time-traveling bunnies? going down the rabbit hole?). Miles says he heard the man call out for Kimberly, who was his deceased wife, and experienced his heart attack. On island, Kate and Sawyer return from the jungle and ask Miles to wipe the security tape. Miles is unable to finish because Horace walks in and invites him into the circle of trust. He's supposed to pick up a body from Radzinsky and then deliver it to the orchid. When he gets it, he uses his powers to discover that the man, Alvarez, had a dental filling shoot through his head. At this point, I think we can be pretty sure that the man was working in proximity to the electromagnetism of the Swan Station. Off-island, a pierced and dyed Miles shows up at his mother's deathbed but she won't tell him about his father, who apparently hated them and kicked them out. She says he's dead and his body is in a place Miles can never go. On-island, Roger finds out about Ben being missing. Kate tries to console him but only lands herself in a suspicious light. Jack defends her, and I get the feeling Roger is now also suspicious of Jack. Hurley shows up and wants to carpool to the Orchid with his sandwhiches and Miles cannot persuade him otherwise. The two go and discuss their abilities to speak with the dead. Miles eventually tells Hurley about what happened to the body and the drop it off at the Orchid, where Miles also tells Hurley that Chang is his father. Change, Hurley, and Miles ride to the Swan Station. Off-island, Miles is with a client. The man wants to let his dead son know that he loved him. Miles lies and says he knew that already after a very fake session which is reminiscent of Claire's psychic. Naomi shows up and says she has a proposition. She takes him to some kind of morgue where there's a dead body. This is Miles' audition, to speak with the body, Felix, who had detals about the 815 cover-up. But Naomi's team isn't the only one interested in Miles. After getting his fish taco, Miles is kidnapped by a group of men led by Bram, the same man in Ilana's group on-island, who asks him 'What lies in the shadow of the statue' and that until he knows he's not ready to go to the island. It appears we have a third side in play in the Ben-Widmore battle for the island. On-island, Hurley and Miles talk about Miles' hate for his father and Hurley admits he has been writing 'Empire Strikes Back' in the Star Wars series. Miles watches himself as a baby and Chang's good fathering skills reading him a book. Chang gets a call and summons Miles to help him go and get some scientists from Ann Arbor who just arrived. Off-island, Miles admits to the father client that he actually faked the contact with his son and gives him back his money. He says he'll be going on a boat trip soon. On-island, we see Phil come to Sawyer with the tape of he and Kate returning from the jungle. Sawyer knoskcs him out. We also discover that one of the scientists returning to the island is none other than Daniel Faraday.
